how to relieve the tension in the pelvis and lower back?
i've been sitting in an uncomfortable chair a lot at work and the pelvis/lowerback area has gone numb especially the iliac crest the bone that's the upper part of the pelvic bone close to the ribcage and the spinalcord on the back feels like it's the main point of all the pain. i can't afford to get a massage right now they're like $80 in nyc so any tips what can i do at home?
"wait" what the h ell kind of an answer is that ? my lowerback area is numb because i've been sitting in a torture chair at work, if you don't have anything to say better not answer at all.
it would feel great to have somebody walk on my back, somebody very light that is but unfortunately it's not an option.
Sit with your left leg crossed over the right. Now put your right hand on the left side of your left knee, with palm facing outwards. Turn your body to the left as far as is comfortable, and hold for 20 seconds. Repeat on other side (with right leg corssed over left). It's called the lumbar stretch. Can do it often during the day.
